1. Information Collection
To create your personalized "Life Rescue Plan," we collect the following:
Data provided by you, not linked to your identity
- Onboarding profile: age, gender, and estimated daily screen time.
- Focus goals: objectives you select (e.g., learning a language, reading, focus).
- The Oath: your commitment status to breaking the scrolling loop.
Permissions required
- Notifications: to send "Rescue Alerts" when your focus starts to slip.
- App Tracking (optional): to optimize our rescue mission and improve app reach.
2. Data Usage and Protection
Your information is used solely to:
- Calculate your "Life Grid" and "Years Wasted" statistics.
- Provide personalized learning cards based on your selected goals.
- Improve app performance and stability.
Your core habit data is:
- Stored securely using industry-standard encryption.
- Not sold to third parties.
- Not used for external advertising.
3. Third-Party Services
SmartScroll uses a select few industry-leading services to ensure a premium experience. All data shared is categorical and protected:
RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Manages your premium access and subscription status.
- Does not see or store your credit card info (handled by Apple).
Mixpanel & Firebase (analytics)
- Collects anonymous usage data (e.g., which cards are swiped most).
- Helps us identify and fix bugs or performance issues.
- No personal identity is linked to this analytics data.
Firebase Firestore (feedback)
- Securely stores any feedback you voluntarily submit to help us improve.
4. Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Data deletion: since no user accounts are created, there is no user profile to delete. However, if you wish to request the deletion of analytics data associated with your device, contact us at alperencerkezdev@gmail.com.
- Permissions: you can revoke Notification or Tracking access at any time through iOS System Settings.
- Access: you can request a summary of the data we have associated with your device.
5. Data Retention
- Local data: remains on your device until the app is uninstalled.
- Cloud data: analytics and feedback are retained for a maximum of 24 months or until you request deletion.
6. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of any material changes to this policy through the app. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
7. Children's Privacy
SmartScroll is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age.
